A Study of the Initial Letters of the Glorious Quran
The 19-based mathematical miracles of the Quran have proved beyond doubt that the Almighty GOD, the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, is the Author of this Glorious Book. In the following, God willing, we shall present some additional mathematical facts pertaining to the initial letters of the Quran that will confirm the authenticity and divine nature of the Last Revelation.
1: The initial letters refer to the letters that are placed at the beginning of the 29 suras (chapters) of the Quran. There are 14 initial letters in the Quran. The following table shows these letters without repetition in the order in which they appear in the Quran:

Glory is to the Author of the Quran, there are precisely 114 (19 x 6) verses in the Quran that contain all of the 14 initials letters. These 114 verses are listed as follows:
|
[2:19],[2:61],[2:140],[2:187],[2:213],[2:217],[2:220],[2:228],[2:237],[2:260],[2:275],[2:282][2:285],[2:286] [3:93],[3:120],[3:154], [4:4],[4:34],[4:43],[4:46],[4:47],[4:69],[4:90],[4:92][4:102],[4:129] ,[5:2],[5:3],[5:5],[5:6],[5:13],[5:33],[5:53],[5:75],[5:89],[5:95],[5:96],[5:110] [6:71],[6:119],[6:139],[6:151],[6:152],[ 7:131],[7:160],[7:168], [8:1], [9:29],[9:34],[9:42],[9:71][9:121], [10:4],[10:24],[10:27],[10:93], [11:81],[11:88], [12:9],[12:36],[12:51],[12:80],[12:101] [13:4],[13:31],[13:41], [14:22], [16:76] ,[17:33] ,[18:18],[18:28],[18:45],[18:63], [20:71],[20:130][20:132],[20:135], [22:11],[22:19],[22:54], [23:27], [24:31],[24:41],[24:56],[24:58],[24:61] [26:49], [27:59], [28:10],[28:19],[28:23],[28:38],[28:82], [30:48], [33:71], [35:11], [38:22],[38:24] [39:6], [40:64],[40:78], [42:52], [46:30], [47:15],[47:32], [48:29], [49:7], [57:25], [58:4], [61:14] [65:1] ,[72:28], [73:20] |
The reader may check the accuracy of the above statement by referring to the Arabic text of the individual verses listed. For example, in the verse 2:19 we have all the initial letters of the Quran as shown below:
[2:19] أو كصيب من السماء فيه ظلمت ورعد وبرق يجعلون أصبعهم في ءاذانهم من الصوعق حذر الموت والله محيط بالكفرين
What is astonishing about this awesome mathematical miracle is that the number of the suras (chapters) in the Quran is also 114. Indeed, the number 114 is a mathematical representation of the complete Quran. Having the complete set of the Quran’s initials in precisely 114 verses represents a mathematical miracle and confirms the Quran’s Divine Source. A single addition or omission from the list of the initials of the Quran would have destroyed this amazing mathematical relationship. This phenomenon also confirms that the Quran is divinely preserved.

2: The Key Letters in the Quran are those letters that comprise the first sura of the Quran, named: The Key (Al-Fateha). The first sura contains seven verses. The Arabic text of these verses and their English translations are as follows:
|
[1:1] In the Name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful [1:2] الحمد لله رب العلمين [1:2] Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe. [1:3] الرحمن الرحيم [1:3] The Gracious, the Merciful. [1:4] Master of the Day of Judgment. [1:5] You alone we worship. You alone we ask for help. [1:6] Guide us in the right path; [1:7] صرط الذين أنعمت عليهم غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضالين [1:7] the path of those whom You blessed; not of those who have deserved wrath, nor of the strayers. |
There are 21 Key Letters in the first sura of the Quran. The Arabic texts of these letters without repetition, as they appear in the first sura, are shown in the following table:

The Quran is designed by the Omniscient GOD. The mathematical interrelationships contained in the verses of the Quran are such that a miracle is confirmed by multiple interrelated proofs. From the Fact 1, we observed, by God’s will, that there are only 114 verses in the entire Quran having all initial letters of the Quran. To confirm this awesome mathematical miracle with another supporting proof from the Quran, let us consider its relationship with the Key Letters described above. The number of the Key Letters (without repetition) in the 114 verses where the complete set of the initials of the Quran occur is 2204. This number is a multiple of nineteen:
2204 = 19 x 29 x 4
3: We know that there are 14 initial letters in the Quran. If we count the initial letters of the Quran (with repetition) the total count is 79 (see the following table). All the praises are due to the Almighty GOD, what is astonishing is the fact that there are only 14 verses in the Quran that the number of their initial letters is 79!!! These verses are as follows:
|
[10:2],[11:61],[12:38],[2:133],[2:243],[2:62],[2:89] [23:33],[3:19],[39:9],[41:40],[5:1],[6:111],[7:188] |
Thus, we have 14
initial letters repeated 79 times in
the Quran and there are precisely 14
verses in the Quran that have 79
initial letters in them!!! One should be blind not to recognize the beautiful
mathematical relationship divinely established in these numbers.

No human made book could ever have such an astonishing mathematical property. These facts contain important signs for those who believe and remember God’s infinite power, glory, and wisdom. If we compute the gematric values (G.V.) of the 14 verses that contain 79 initial letters the resulting number is 38,798 which is also a multiple of 19:
38798 = 19 x 2042
[20:42] “Go with your brother, supported by My signs,
and do not waver in remembering Me.
All the Power and Glory belongs to GOD!!!
The quotient obtained above, 2042, contain a powerful message for those who wish to turn to their Lord and praise and glorify Him for the gift of the Quran. The number 2042 mathematically represents the verse 20:42. The gematric value of this verse is 3734. If we add the sura and verse number concatenated 20,42 with the gematric value of this verse, 3734, we get a number that is twice a multiple of nineteen:
2042 + 3734 = 57,76
19 x 19 x 16
There is no other god, besides GOD!!!
4: The largest verse of the Quran is 2:282. This verse has 549 letters. The smallest verse of the Quran is 36:1 which contains only 2 letters. If we add the number of letters in the largest verse (549 letters) to the number of letters in the smallest verse (2 letters) we get a number that is a multiple of nineteen:
549 + 2 = 551
19 x 29
God is Great!!!
What is interesting about the above mathematical relationship is the fact that the quotient contains the total number of letters in the Arabic language or total number of initillaed suras (29).
5: The opening statement in the Quran, known as Bismillah, contains 10 letters without repetition as shown below:
[1:1] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
[1:1] In the Name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful

We also know that there are only 114 verses in the entire Quran that contain all the initial letters (see Fact 1). In these 114 verses, there are only 112 verses that have all letters of Bismillah. All the praises are due to the Omniscient GOD, it is a mathematical miracle that there are also precisely 112 numbered Bismillah verses in the Quran!!! From the above referenced 114 verses only two verses do not contain all the letters of the Bismillah and those two verses are 2:220 and 24:56.
6: Alif is the first initial letter in the Quran. The purified Quran has 6346 numbered and un-numbered (112 Bismillahs) verses. Glory is to God, it is certainly not a coincidence that the first initial of the Quran, the letter Alif, exists in 6234 verses which is the count of all numbered verses. Thus, there are 112 verses that do not contain any Alifs. These verses are as follows:
|
[2:56],[7:52],[7:122],[19:1],[20:1],[22:21],[23:54],[26:1],[26:48],[26:134] [26:147],[27:2],[28:1],[31:3],[36:1],[36:4],[37:12],[37:42],[37:44],[37:101] [37:107],[37:120],[37:174],[37:178],[40:1],[41:1],[42:1],[42:2],[43:1],[44:1] [44:9],[44:52],[44:54],[45:1],[46:1],[50:8],[51:34],[52:2],[52:3],[52:11] [52:20],[54:53],[54:55],[56:15],[56:17],[56:22],[56:28],[56:29],[56:30],[56:32] [56:34],[56:42],[56:43],[56:67],[56:78],[56:93],[56:94],[68:5],[68:13],[68:27] [69:29],[69:30],[74:3],[74:9],[74:19],[74:20],[74:21],[74:22],[74:51],[75:32] [77:15],[77:19],[77:24],[77:28],[77:34],[77:37],[77:40],[77:45],[77:47],[77:49] [79:21],[80:1],[80:9],[80:13],[80:14],[80:19],[80:36],[80:38],[83:1],[83:5] [83:9],[83:10],[83:20],[83:25],[85:18],[85:22],[87:8],[87:10],[88:2],[88:22] [89:5],[90:13],[92:7],[92:10],[92:21],[93:5],[95:2],[104:1],[104:9],[107:4] [109:6],[112:3] |
7: The last initial of the Quran is the letter Noon (ن). There are many mathematical miracles associated with this letter in the Quran. For example, this initial is written in a peculiar form in Arabic (Noon Waw Noon = نون) at the beginning of Sura 68:
[68:1] نون والقلم وما يسطرون
[68:1] NuN, the pen, and what they (the people) write.
The peculiar form that the initial letter Noon is written in the Quran is a marker for the mathematical miracle of this divinely Authored book. The frequency count of the letter Noon in sura 68 is 133. This number is a multiple of nineteen (133 = 19 x 7). If the letter Noon had been written in its literal form (ن) instead of (Noon Waw Noon = نون), the count of this initial in chapter 68 would have been 132 which is not a multiple of nineteen. Praise be to GOD, not only the frequency count of the letter Noon in sura 68 is 133 (19 x 7) but also there are precisely 133 (19 x 7) verses in the Quran that ends with the letter Nun (Noon Waw Noon = نون) such as:
[2:4] والذين يؤمنون بما أنزل إليك وما أنزل من قبلك وبالءاخرة هم يوقنون
[81:22] وما صاحبكم بمجنون
وان لك لاجرا غير ممنون [68:3]
ام له البنت ولكم البنون [52:39]
..………………
……………….
The list of the 133 verses in the Quran that end up with the letter Nun are as follows:
|
[2:4],[2:6],[2:38],[2:62],[2:77],[2:78],[2:88],[2:100],[2:112],[2:118] [2:159],[2:262],[2:274],[2:277],[3:122],[3:160],[3:170],[5:11],[5:50],[5:69] [5:88],[6:12],[6:20],[6:48],[6:99],[6:109],[6:125],[6:154],[7:27],[7:35] [7:49],[7:52],[7:75],[7:156],[7:185],[7:188],[7:203],[8:55],[9:51],[10:33] [10:62],[10:96],[10:101],[11:17],[12:48],[12:111],[13:1],[13:2],[14:11],[15:6] [15:26],[15:28],[15:33],[16:19],[16:64],[16:79],[16:128],[19:39],[21:6],[21:30] [23:1],[23:44],[23:58],[26:27],[26:88],[27:3],[27:25],[27:47],[27:74],[27:82] [27:86],[27:89],[28:3],[28:52],[28:69],[29:2],[29:24],[29:51],[30:4],[30:37] [30:60],[31:4],[32:12],[32:24],[34:37],[34:41],[36:7],[36:10],[36:76],[37:36] [37:49],[37:53],[37:149],[39:52],[39:61],[40:59],[41:8],[43:68],[43:88],[44:12] [44:14],[45:4],[45:6],[45:20],[45:24],[46:13],[51:13],[51:39],[51:52],[52:24] [52:29],[52:30],[52:33],[52:36],[52:39],[56:23],[56:58],[56:78],[56:81],[58:10] [60:11],[64:13],[68:2],[68:3],[68:9],[68:18],[68:51],[69:41],[77:50],[81:22] [84:20],[84:25],[95:6] |
The first letter of the 133 verses that end with the letter Nun consists of one of the following Arabic letters:
ا، ب، ت، ث، ر، ف، ق، ك، ل، م، ن، ه، و، ي
We know that there are a total of 14 initial letters in the Quran that contain a major part of the mathematical miracles of the Quran. Glory is to the Author of the glorious Quran, there are also 14 letters shown above that constitute the first letter of the 133 (19 x 7) verses that end with the letter Nun. Furthermore, the starting letters of the verses that have the letter Noon in sura 68 are also 14!!!! These letters are as follows:
ن، و، ف، ب، ا، ه، م، ع، س، ق، ک، ي، خ، ل
Are these mere coincidences? Certainly not!!! There is a divine calculated design behind these mathematical relationships. What is amazing is that the total gematric value of the 14 letters of the 133 verses that end with the letter Nun is 1444. This number is not once but twice a multiple of 19:
1444 = 19 x 19 x 4
8: We know that the sura 68 starts with two letters Noon (ن) or Nun (Noon Waw Noon = نون). We also know that the count of the letter Noon in sura 68 is 133 (19 x 7). We have already discussed an amazing mathematical arrangement whereby precisely 133 (19 x 7) verses in the Quran end up with Nun (Noon Waw Noon = نون) in Fact 7. Now to proof that the glorious Quran is, beyond the shadow of a doubt, a revelation from the Lord of the universe, let us consider the following stupendous mathematical marvel.
Let us this time consider all the verses in the Quran whereby two letters of Noon occur side by side such as the word ننجي (“Nonajee”) in the verse 10:103:
[10:103] ثم ننجي رسلنا والذين ءامنوا كذلك حقا علينا ننج المؤمنين
فلما رءا القمر بازغا قال هذا ربي فلما افل قال لئن لم يهدني ربي لاكونن من القوم الضالين [6:77]
ولا تمنن تستكثر [74:6]
…………………
…………………
All the praises are due to GOD, there are also amazingly precisely 133 (19 x 7) such verses in the Quran!!! Those 133 verses are:
|
[2:106],[2:139],[2:147],[2:235],[2:259],[3:16],[3:64],[3:81],[3:137],[3:187] [3:193],[4:26],[4:103],[4:159],[5:25],[5:111],[6:14],[6:19],[6:35],[6:53] [6:63],[6:77],[6:109],[6:111],[6:114],[6:161],[7:23],[7:27],[7:51],[7:71] [7:87],[7:89],[7:134],[7:149],[7:150],[7:189],[9:75],[10:14],[10:22],[10:23] [10:29],[10:92],[10:94],[10:95],[10:103],[10:105],[11:2],[11:37],[11:62],[11:63] [12:13],[12:32],[12:33],[12:35],[12:66],[13:41],[14:9],[14:14],[15:8],[15:21] [15:39],[15:70],[16:81],[16:92],[17:82],[18:94],[18:103],[19:38],[19:69],[19:72] [20:14],[20:37],[20:45],[20:46],[20:58],[20:97],[21:43],[21:44],[21:90],[23:27] [24:55],[26:4],[26:116],[26:167],[27:27],[27:36],[27:41],[28:86],[28:87],[29:32] [31:23],[34:26],[34:33],[35:42],[36:68],[37:28],[37:114],[38:8],[38:22],[38:39] [39:65],[40:41],[40:42],[40:43],[40:51],[41:5],[41:22],[41:23],[41:33],[41:50] [42:15],[43:26],[43:49],[45:34],[46:17],[48:12],[48:15],[52:48],[54:14],[54:25] [56:61],[59:2],[59:10],[59:11],[60:4],[61:5],[64:6],[69:20],[72:5],[72:7] [72:12],[74:6],[89:16] |
The above verses start with one of the following 15 Arabic letters:
ا، ب، ت، ث، ذ، ر، س، ع، ف، ق، ل، م، ه، و، ي
The total gematric values of the above 15 letters is 2204 which is again a multiple of ninteen:
2204 = 19 x 116
There is no other god besides GOD!!!
9: There are only three verses in the Quran that contain two letters of Noon side by side, like the Arabic word ظننتم (you doubted), and the letters Nun (Noon Waw Noon = نون ). These verses are as follows:
(48:12) بل ظننتم أن لن ينقلب الرسول والمؤمنون إلى أهليهم أبدا وزين ذلك في قلوبكم وظننتم ظن السوء وكنتم قوما بورا
[48:12] You secretly believed that the messenger and the believers will be defeated and never come back to their families, and this was firmly established in your hearts. You harbored evil thoughts and turned into wicked people.
[6:109] They swore by GOD, solemnly, that if a miracle came to them, they would surely believe. Say, "Miracles come only from GOD." For all you know, if a miracle did come to them, they would continue to disbelieve.
[7:27] O children of Adam, do not let the devil dupe you as he did when he caused the eviction of your parents from Paradise, and the removal of their garments to expose their bodies. He and his tribe see you, while you do not see them. We appoint the devils as companions of those who do not believe.
All the praises are due to God, if we add the sura and verse numbers in the above three verses the result is multiple of nineteen:
48 + 12 + 6 + 109 + 7 + 27 = 209
19 x 11
There is no other god besides GOD!!!
Miraculously, the count of the letter Noon in these three verses(38) is also a multiple of nineteen (38 = 19 x 2)!!! How could all of these be haphazard and due to chance???!!! Glory is to God, His Majesty and Kingdom overshadows every phenomenon in the nature and everything is precisely calculated and placed in its respective position by His divine will.
10: The reader must take notice that for every additional pattern that occurs in the composition of the initial letters, the probability of those patters occurring by chance diminishes significantly. So that by now we have well passed the stage of zero probability (e.g., one chance in 1086). Let us now add the following amazing pattern to the above divinely established mathematical relationships. Amazingly there are only 95 (95 = 19 x 5)!!! verses in the Quran where the Arabic word God (الله) and the letter Nun (Noon Waw Noon = نون ) occur together such as in the verse 2:62:
(2:62) إن الذين ءامنوا والذين هادوا والنصرى والصبءين من ءامن بالله واليوم الاخر وعمل صلحا فلهم أجرهم عند ربهم ولا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون
[2:62] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
This is another affirmation of the fact that the Almighty GOD is the Author and Designer of the fantastic mathematical patterns related to the initial letter Nun.
11: Next, let us consider two particular arrangements of the letter Noon in the Quran. The first arrangement is the occurrence of two letters of Noon next to each other with one space in between them, such as in the case of the Arabic words لن نؤمن in the verse 2:55:
(2:55) وإذ قلتم يموسى لن نؤمن لك حتى نرى الله جهرة فأخذتكم الصعقة وأنتم تنظرون
[2:55] Recall that you said, "O Moses, we will not believe unless we see GOD, physically." Consequently, the lightning struck you, as you looked.
The second arrangement is the occurrence of the two letters of noon side by side without any spaces in between them such as in the case of the Arabic word ننجي in the verse 10:103:
(10:103) ثم ننجي رسلنا والذين ءامنوا كذلك حقا علينا ننج المؤمنين
[10:103] We ultimately save our messengers and those who believe. It is our immutable law that we save the believers.
All the majesty and glory belongs to GOD, the total number of times where the letter Noon appears in the Quran in these two particular arrangements is:
361 = 19 x 19
12: There are 10 verses in the Quran each having 19 letters Noon, such as in the verse 2:61:
[2:61] Recall that you said, "O Moses, we can no longer tolerate one kind of food. Call upon your Lord to produce for us such earthly crops as beans, cucumbers, garlic, lentils, and onions." He said, "Do you wish to substitute that which is inferior for that which is good? Go down to Egypt, where you can find what you asked for." They have incurred condemnation, humiliation, and disgrace, and brought upon themselves wrath from GOD. This is because they rejected GOD's revelations, and killed the prophets unjustly. This is because they disobeyed and transgressed.
These verses are as follows:
|
[2:61], [2:213], [2:217], [5:110], [9:120], [10:24], [24:33], [33:55], [61:14], [65:6] |
God be praised, it is certainly not a coincidence that the count of the Arabic word GOD in the 10 verses of the Quran having each 19 counts of the letter Noon is also 19.
13: We know that there are 10 verses in the Quran that start and end with the letter Noon such as the verse 12:3:
(12:3) نحن نقص عليك أحسن القصص بما أوحينا إليك هذا القرءان وإن كنت من قبله لمن الغفلين
[12:3] We narrate to you the most accurate history through the revelation of this Quran. Before this, you were totally unaware.
The ten verses in the Quran that start and end with the letter Noon are as follows:
|
[12:3], [2:223], [23:56], [26:193], [28:3], [41:31], [56:57], [56:60], [56:73], [68:1] |
Since these verses both start and end with the letter Noon, isn’t it logical to mathematically mark them with a number that represents the letter Noon? The gematrical value of the Arabic letter Noon (ن) is 50. All the praises are due to the Omniscient GOD, isn’t it amazing that the count of the letter Noon in the 10 verses of the Quran that start and end with the letter Noon is also 50!!! Who, except God, can create a mathematically structured book similar to the glorious Quran??!!!
14: The first verse of the sura 68 starts with Nun (Noon Waw Noon = نون ). In the composition of Nun, while the letter Waw (و) is not part of the initial letters of the Quran, two Noons are.
[10:109] Follow what is revealed to you, and be patient until GOD issues His judgment; He is the best judge.
Glory is to the Absolute GOD, there are precisely 228 (19 x 12) verses in the entire Quran that contain the word Nun (نون). Those verses are as follows:
|
[2:3], [2:4], [2:6], [2:38], [2:46], [2:62], [2:77], [2:78], [2:85], [2:88], [2:100], [2:112], [2:118], [2:121], [2:159], [2:187], [2:249], [2:262], [2:274], [2:277], [2:285], [3:28], [3:110], [3:114], [3:119], [3:122], [3:143], [3:154], [3:160], [3:170], [4:38], [4:46], [4:51], [4:59], [4:65], [4:89], [4:107], [4:155], [4:162], [5:11], [5:50], [5:69], [5:81], [5:88], [6:12], [6:20], [6:48], [6:54], [6:92], [6:99], [6:109], [6:113], [6:125], [6:150], [6:154], [7:27], [7:35], [7:49], [7:52], [7:75], [7:156], [7:185], [7:188], [7:203], [8:2], [8:4], [8:55], [8:74], [9:29], [9:44], [9:45], [9:51], [9:71], [9:93], [9:105], [9:122], [9:126], [10:33], [10:62], [10:96], [10:101], [11:5], [11:17], [11:121], [12:37], [12:48], [12:111], [13:1], [13:2], [13:4], [14:11], [14:21], [15:6], [15:13], [15:26], [15:28], [15:33], [16:19], [16:22], [16:23], [16:60], [16:64], [16:72], [16:79], [16:104], [16:105], [16:128], [17:10], [17:45], [17:52], [17:73], [18:46], [18:95], [18:104], [19:39], [19:82], [21:6], [21:30], [21:87], [23:1], [23:44], [23:58], [23:74], [24:2], [24:12], [24:31], [24:62], [25:68], [26:27], [26:88], [26:128], [26:201], [27:3], [27:4], [27:25], [27:47], [27:74], [27:82], [27:86], [27:89], [28:3], [28:52], [28:69], [28:72], [29:2], [29:24], [29:47], [29:51], [29:67], [30:4], [30:37], [30:60], [31:4], [32:12], [32:24], [33:10], [33:11], [33:22], [34:8], [34:37], [34:41], [36:7], [36:10], [36:76], [37:36], [37:49], [37:53], [37:149], [39:45], [39:52], [39:61], [40:7], [40:47], [40:59], [41:8], [41:44], [42:18], [43:68], [43:88], [44:12], [44:14], [45:4], [45:6], [45:20], [45:24], [46:13], [48:12], [48:25], [49:10], [49:15], [49:17], [51:13], [51:39], [51:52], [52:24], [52:29], [52:30], [52:33], [52:36], [52:39], [53:27], [54:9], [56:23], [56:58], [56:78], [56:81], [57:8], [58:10], [58:22], [60:11], [61:11], [62:7], [64:4], [64:13], [68:1], [68:2], [68:3], [68:9], [68:18], [68:51], [69:41], [72:19], [74:31], [77:50], [81:22], [84:20], [84:25], [95:6] |
15: We know that the word Quran (قرءآن) starts with the letter Q (ق) and ends with the letter Noon (ن). The gematric value of the letter Q is 100 while the gematric value of the letter Noon is 50, and thus:
Noon + Noon = Qaaf
50 + 50 = 100
The letter Q with the gematric value of 100 plays an important role in the mathematical miracles of the Quran. The letter Q stands for the Quran:
(50:1) ق والقرءان المجيد
[50:1] Q., and the glorious Quran.
We know that over the glorious Quran is God’s signature, 19. To re-confirm again and again that the Quran is a true revelation from the Lord of the universe, let us consider the next mathematical miracle. In the entire Quran there are exactly 19 verses that each has 100 letters!!! Furthermore, if we count the number of the initial letters in these 19 verses without repetition, the result (228) is not only is a multiple of 19 (228 = 2 x 114) but the quotient (114) mathematically represents the Quran (the Quran has 114 chapters). Recognizing these astonishing and beautifully patterned mathematical miracles, the free thinking mind admires the Greatness of GOD and whole heartedly submits to His Divine commandments in the Quran.
The 19 verses in the Quran that each contains 100 letters are as follows:
|
[2:20], [4:58], [4:150], [5:27], [6:92], [7:101], [7:195], [9:18], [9:67], [9:72], [12:43], [13:22], [16:14], [17:51], [18:45], [22:17], [31:34], [39:5], [45:17] |
16: There are only 29 verses in the Quran that starts and ends with one of the letters of the opening verse of the Quran (1:1) known as Bismillah and include double Noons (two Noons placed side by side) such as in the verse 2:106:
(2:106) ما ننسخ من ءاية أو ننسها نأت بخير منها أو مثلها ألم تعلم أن الله على كل شيء قدير
[2:106] When we abrogate any miracle, or cause it to be forgotten, we produce a better miracle, or at least an equal one. Do you not recognize the fact that GOD is Omnipotent?
The above described 29 verses are as follows:
|
[2:106], [2:147], [2:259], [3:16], [3:193], [4:26], [6:114], [7:27], [7:51], [7:189], [10:22], [11:2], [13:41], [14:9], [15:8], [19:38], [20:14], [21:43], [21:44], [26:4], [38:8], [38:39], [40:43], [48:12], [48:15], [54:25], [59:2], [59:11], [69:20] |
All praises are due to God, there are exactly 19 words of God (الله) divinely placed in the above referenced 29 verses. Also, there 29 letters in the Arabic alphabet.
17: There are only three verses in the Quran (13:41, 23:27, and, 38:22) that contain all the initial letters and double Noons (two Noons placed side by side), such as the verse 13:41:
(13:41) أولم يروا أنا نأتي الأرض ننقصها من أطرافها والله يحكم لا معقب لحكمه وهو سريع الحساب
[13:41] Do they not see that every day on earth, brings them closer to the end, and that GOD decides their life span, irrevocably? He is the most efficient Reckoner.
Since the above three verses contains the complete set of the initial letters of the Quran, wouldn’t it be logical, harmonious, and symmetrical to expect that a Divine Designer would make the frequency of the letter Noon in these three verses to also equal to the complete set of the Arabic alphabets? Indeed, the Designer of the Quran has done so. The frequency of the letter Noon in the above three verses equals 29, which is the number of the letters in the Arabic alphabets.
18: No book can cover the entire mathematical miracles of the Quran. We will end this part with one last observation about the letter Nun. There are 64 verses in the Quran that contain Nun (Noon Waw Noon = نون) and all letters of Bismillah. The letters of the key verse of the Quran, Bismillah are as follows:
[1:1] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
[1:1] In the Name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful

One of these verses is 2:85:
[2:85] ثم أنتم هؤلاء تقتلون أنفسكم وتخرجون فريقا منكم من ديرهم تظهرون عليهم بالإثم والعدون وإن يأتوكم أسرى تفدوهم وهو محرم عليكم إخراجهم أفتؤمنون ببعض الكتب وتكفرون ببعض فما جزاء من يفعل ذلك منكم إلا خزي في الحيوة الدنيا ويوم القيمة يردون إلى أشد العذاب وما الله بغفل عما تعملون
[2:85] Yet, here you are killing each other, and evicting some of you from their homes, banding against them sinfully and maliciously. Even when they surrendered, you demanded ransom from them. Evicting them was prohibited for you in the first place. Do you believe in part of the scripture and disbelieve in part? What should be the retribution for those among you who do this, except humiliation in this life, and a far worse retribution on the Day of Resurrection? GOD is never unaware of anything you do.
The above verse contains the following Arabic letters without repetition:
ن و ل م ع ت ا ف غ ب ه ذ د ش ي ر ق ح ز خ ك ء ج ض س ث ظ
In the above letters, the
letters of Bismillah are color-coded as red. The list of the 64 verses that
contain Nun (Noon Waw Noon =
نون) and all letters of Bismillah are as follows:
|
[2:85], [2:112], [2:121], [2:187], [2:262], [2:274], [2:285], [3:114], [3:154], [3:170], [4:46], [4:59], [4:65], [4:89], [6:12], [6:48], [6:54], [6:99], [6:154], [7:27], [7:35], [7:49], [7:75], [7:156], [7:185], [8:74], [9:29], [9:71], [10:33], [11:5], [11:17], [13:4], [14:11], [14:21], [15:28], [16:22], [16:23], [16:60], [16:72], [17:45], [21:87], [23:44], [24:31], [24:62], [25:68], [27:89], [29:2], [29:67], [30:4], [32:12], [33:22], [34:41], [39:45], [40:7], [40:47], [42:18], [45:20], [46:13], [48:25], [51:39], [51:52], [58:10], [58:22], [74:31] |
There 681 letters Noon (Noon Waw Noon = نون) in the above 64 verses. Glory is to GOD, the number 681 mathematically represents the verse 68:1:
[68:1] نون والقلم وما يسطرون
[68:1] NuN, the pen, and what they (the people) write.
The gematric value of the verse 68.1 is:
695*
We know that the Quran was placed into Muhammad's soul on the 27th night of Ramadan (the Night of Destiny), 13 B.H. (Before Hijrah):
[97:1] We revealed it in the Night of Destiny.
The gematric value of the verse 97:1 is also:
695*
The mathematical miracles that have been discussed in this document using Nun (Noon Waw Noon = نون) in 68:1 and the other initials, all point to the fact that this Quran is a revelation from the Lord of the universe. That is why the gematric values of the verses 68:1 and 97:1 are both identical (695). We know that the mathematical code of the Quran is 666. If we add the sura and verse numbers of 68:1 and 97:1 with the code of the Quran, the 666 we get a number that is a multiple of 19:
666 + 681 + 971 = 2318
19 x 122
There is no other god besides GOD!
All the praises and glories belong to GOD, the Quran is a true divine gift to humanity. We must read it carefully and think and contemplate about its verses and mathematical miracles. The quotient, 122, obtained above points to the verse 12:2 in the Quran which carries an important message to the people of the world:
[12:2] إنا أنزلنه قرءنا عربيا لعلكم تعقلون
[12:2] We have revealed it an Arabic Quran, that you may think (reflect).
Let us review, think, and reflect about some of what we discussed in this article about a single initial of the Quran, namely, the letter Noon and its variations. We know the following:
|
The count of the letter Noon in sura 68 =
|
133 (19 x 7) |
|
The number of the verses that end with the letter Nun (Noon Waw Noon =
|
133 (19 x 7) |
|
The number of the verses that pattern Nun (Noon Waw Noon = نون) occur asلايومنون In verse 15:13
|
228 = (2x114) = (2 x 6 x 19) |
|
The number of verses where two letters noon occur side by side such as in the word ننجي (“Nonajee”) =
|
133 (19 x 7) |
|
The number of cases where two letters noon occur side by side or with space between them such as in the word ننجي or ننج or لن نؤمن =
|
361(19*19) |
|
The number of the verses that pattern Nun (Noon Waw Noon = نون) and word God occur as verse 2:62
|
95(19*5) |
Is there any other book in the world that can demostrate a similar phenomenon?!!! Let us think about this ingenious mathematical arrangement for a moment. A single omission or deletion of a letter Noon would have completely destroyed this mathematical miracle. Who except the Almighty GOD can plan, design, and create a book such as the Glorious Quran. Praise be to GOD, Creator of the heavens and the earth!!!
